Kale Chips Recipes
Kale is one of the most nutrients dense foods on the planet. When eating a grain free diet getting a crunch chip on the go can be challenging. below I have posted three of my favorite pseudo chips that will quell that salty potato chip cravings.
Kale Chips
- two bunches curly kale (easy to grow at home)
- 1/4 cup ground flax
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1/4 cup ground chia
- 1/4 cup hemp hearts
- 1 tsp Simply organic herbal spice blend
- 1 tsp Real Salt
MCT , coconut oil or olive oil
Wash kale, remove big stems, and break into chips, completely dry (sometimes overnight is best) on towel. Mix seeds, herbs and salt. Set oven to 190 degrees. Massage dry kale with enough oil to lightly coat leaves. Coat leaves in mixture or dip leaves to coat. Put on cookie sheets and check after 20 minutes. When edges start to dry, flip chips and bake another 20 minutes. Some batches may take longer than others. Don’t rush it. Check leaves every 10 minutes until dry. Put in containers with paper towels to absorb moisture and keep fresher
Cinnamon Crunch Chip
Use half of the seeds and salt mix omit herb blend and add:
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon*
- 1/4 tsp ginger* dash of nutmeg and clove
- 3 tablespoons organic maple syrup or xylitol honey*
Dragon spice chips
Sprinkle garlic powder and cayenne pepper as desired
Snowflake chips
Dip oiled chips in organic shredded coconut* salt and bake. These are yummy and pretty!
